Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology within the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely credited with starting the modern research into the study of memories of eyewitnesses and children's victims as witnesses in legal circumstances. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants and is the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has worked with a variety of organisations and governments around the globe on research and policies relating to child people who are victims of the law. She acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She holds memberships in many professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman belongs to the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
